3:38am: The ecstasy of silence
Dalam kesempatan menyelami kedalaman keheningan, ada murid bertanya tentang pendidikan. Dengan kata-kata terbatas, seorang guru bergumam, "Tatkala Anda menyalahkan, itu tanda-tanda kuat pentingnya pendidikan. Ketika Anda mulai menyalahkan diri sendiri, berarti pendidikannya baru dimulai. Dan manakala Anda berhenti menyalahkan, itu artinya pendidikan sudah selesai." - Kompas.com -

Saya setuju dengan apa yang disampaikan oleh Gede, bahwa diam merupakan sebuah sikap yang diambil karena tahu yang diketahui. Bukan berarti diam itu tidak peduli atau tidak mau tahu.

8:17pm: apache + php + mysql
leibniz telah dikonfigurasikan sebagai webserver dengan :

apache 1.3.33-3 versatile, high-performance HTTP server
mysql-server 4.0.23-4 mysql database server binaries
php4 4.3.10-2 server-side, HTML-embedded scripting language
php4-mysql 4.3.10-2 MySQL module for php4

VirtualHost juga sudah berfungsi dengan baik.

To do list :
- Update DNS (tentukan host yang akan dipakai)
- Collecting ebooks for intranet use :)
- Siapkan aplikasi web yang akan digunakan

12:56pm: leibniz
Sukses install debian sarge ke HP Kayak XU. Install via web lewat mirror http://debian.its.ac.id.
Cool... segera disiapkan aplikasi apa aja yang nanti dilayani ama leibniz.

Akses ke http://mail.yahoo.com juga sudah bisa. Install proxy di phytagoras, trus di set ke proxy dari telkom.

2:30am: unisex
Bagi yang pernah nonton Ally McBeal pasti tahu kalo kantor Ally memiliki unisex bathroom. Nah hal yang sama juga ada di kampus saya! Pria atau wanita menggunakan kamar mandi yang sama pada waktu yang (hampir) bersamaan.
Jadi unisex bathroom ga cuman ada di serial TV, tapi juga in real life. Entah siapa meniru siapa? Tapi silahkan buktikan sendiri.

selesai setting squid di openbsd, tapi masalah akses http://mail.yahoo.com belum teratasi. Musti lewat proxy dari telkom ( proxies.telkom.net.id:8080 ). Apa karena beda subnet ama router dialup ke speedy ya? kalo yang pake 192.168.1.* bisa diatasi pake proxy telkom.
Got to figure out why???! Ada yang bisa bantu?

Sekelompok pelajar kelas geografi belajar
mengenai "Tujuh Keajaiban Dunia". Pada
akhir
pelajaran, guru meminta pelajar tersebut
untuk
membuat daftar apa yang mereka pikir
merupakan "Tujuh Keajaiban Dunia" saat ini.
Para
pelajar bergumam, tertawa, dan berpikir.
Mereka
membayangkan semua yang hebat, yang
mencengangkan.

Walaupun ada beberapa ketidaksesuaian,
sebagian besar daftar berisi:
1. Piramida Besar di Mesir
2. Taj Mahal
3. Grand Canyon
4. Panama Canal
5. Empire State Building
6. St. Peter's Basilica
7. Tem
bok China

Ketika mengumpulkan daftar pilihan, sang
guru
memperhatikan seorang pelajar, seorang
gadis
yang pendiam, yang belum mengumpulkan
kertas
kerjanya. Jadi, sang guru bertanya kepadanya
apakah dia mempunyai kesulitan dengan
daftarnya.

Gadis pendiam itu menjawab, "Ya, sedikit.
Saya
tidak bisa memilih karena sangat banyaknya."

Sang guru berkata, "Baik, katakan pada kami
apa
yang kamu miliki, dan mungkin kami bisa
membantu memilihnya."

Gadis itu ragu sejenak, kemudian membaca,
"Saya
pikir Tujuh Keajaiban Dunia adalah:
1. Bisa bersyukur
2. Bisa merasakan
3. Bisa tertawa

Dia ragu lagi sebentar, dan kemudian
melanjutkan...

Ruang kelas tersebut sunyi seketika...

Alangkah mudahnya bagi kita untuk melihat
pada
eksploitasi manusia dan menyebutnya
"keajaiban"
sementara kita lihat lagi semua yang telah
Tuhan
lakukan untuk kita, menyebutnya sebagai
"biasa".
